You must click on the highlighted title of each chapter to bring up the entire chapter to read it. Each chapter is quite long and comprehensive. The “danger” in preaching the truth resides only in the imagination of the person who doesn’t understand the truth. The online book “HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE” by James Coram needs no defense. It stands on its own merit. It has helped many people. It will help many more. Most comments and questions regarding this book are responded to within the writing itself, for example, “WHAT ARE CORRECT TRANSLATIONS OF THE BIBLE?” A frequent response to first learning about the existence of this book is, “You believe the words of men, but we believe the Bible.” But the actual reading of, “HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE” by James Coram will prove to all readers that JUST THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE. IMHO, "HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE" by James Coram is the most powerful of all of the dozens of books that I have read, the hundreds of tapes that I have listened to, and the many online articles that I have read that show that a correctly, (literally, not interpretively) translated Bible teaches universal salvation, not eternal torment, or even annihilation. (I am 69 years old) In fact, to me it is so powerful that it renders all arguments to the contrary completely irrelevant to the truth that it proves that, by the time God’s plan for the ages of time has been consummated, the universal salvation of all sinful creatures from everything from which they need to be saved, most certainly, will have occurred. Indeed, many seem to become much more proud and self reliant after “conversion” than ever before. And they seek to cover this up through much ill-disguised religious parlance in which it is true that they do give much, but certainly not all the credit to God. For example, “The Lord did it all, after I let Him.” or “I could never be where I am today without His assistance.” This increase in pride is the result of having been subjected to such an abundance of human-independence teaching in an atmosphere in which it is continuously encouraged and reinforced, verified and justified with much approbation and exaltation. After all, such believers are sure that they, unlike others, have “made their decision for Christ.” And, they say, this has not occurred in the grace of God as a result of their having been chosen before the disruption of the world (even if the Scriptures do say so), but is the result and is thanks to their very own decision. Though others may far excel them in lesser things, when it comes to what is most important, they think it is obvious that they are superior. They think, “At least I was willing and sufficiently disciplined, for when it mattered the most I did the right thing and the switch got thrown, so people like me will go up to heaven while everyone else will go down to hell.” Just think of it. Picture this type of self-help salvation and pride. For all eternity (or at least for the ages) they will be able to say, “All those miserable sinners burning in hell could have gone to heaven too. Certainly the work of Christ saved no one at all. It wasn’t supposed to. All it did was make salvation possible. Besides, every one of those sinners deserves to be in everlasting burning, for unlike me, they didn’t do what they should have and could have. And here I am in eternal bliss, perfectly good and perfectly happy, even though billions of my fellow creatures are perfectly miserable and doomed to stay that way forever (or at least for the ages). Yet in the end I only got here myself because of what I did, not because of the sacrifice of Christ. I chose to meet God’s demands for His (so-called) free gift and I did so. I wasn’t given any special grace. It wasn’t any easier for me than for anyone else. It’s too late now anyway so let them burn. Too bad for them, but not for me. I’m happy and so is God. In fact we’re all happy here.” You see, that’s the ultimate selfishness of that view and that’s what it leads to. One can only avoid boasting in self by truly ceasing to believe things and say things that are inherently of a boastful nature. It is only the word of the cross that effectively and wisely trains us in this true humility so that “if anyone is boasting, in the Lord let him be boasting,” as Paul says. It is an empty gesture to go through the motions of giving all the glory to God, while at the same time continually believing that good decisions and acts are things which ultimately owe their existence to one’s own self, God having but made them possible. May He enlighten us to see truly that it is “in the grace of God that I am what I am.” After thought. Since the salvation of even one soul is 100% by God’s grace plus nothing, the salvation of all souls will be no problem for God at all according to His sovereign perfect timing for each individual. |

Date Posted: 15:53:57 11/14/07 Wed MY TESTIMONY The idea that God lets any creature suffer endlessly has caused me more suffering than all other problems of my life combined. By the time I had reached the mission field I had hoped to have found a satisfactory answer that would justify God allowing this to happen. I didn't find such an answer. Surrounded by thousands of people, dozens of whom were dying every day and beginning an eternity of suffering in hell was too much for me. In 1966, at age 28 (I’m 69 now), it caused me to have a nervous breakdown. For several weeks I was confined to my bed in a state of terror night and day. The terror was caused by the fear of what a God I could not love or respect would do to me after I died. It took me twelve years to fully recover from the breakdown. I quickly became agnostic, for the Christian gospel and the Bible were no longer any comfort to me at all. Many evangelical friends tried to help me. They meant well, but in the end they all had only words of condemnation towards me. This added more suffering to my already intense suffering. Gradually I began to learn that there have been, in centuries past, and still are today, a few people in the world that see a different kind of God in the Bible. They see a God who will not let any creature suffer forever. They see a God in the Bible who will change every second of everyone's suffering into something better that it happened, including the sufferings of Satan. I learned that a correctly (literally) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. I read dozens of books, and listened to hundreds of tapes by men who believe this way and I gradually became converted to believing this way myself. Since 1981, through my newspaper ads and my telephone ministry, I have sent out many hundreds of packets of literature explaining why I believe as I do. I have also sent this evidence to hundreds of pastors and Bible school teachers. None of them have told me that they are able to refute it. I have also read eight books that were supposed to refute the evidence in favour of universalism, but none of them do. Because of this evidence, my panic attacks became less frequent until twelve years after my breakdown they ceased altogether. Now nothing gives me greater pleasure than to make this evidence available to others who have suffered because of the same problem I had, and I use a substantial amount of my money and time to this end. Because of the enormous amount of suffering the idea of "endless hell" causes in this world, I am asking you to consider the possibility that you should stop endorsing the idea that the Bible teaches it. Or, at least, let others know that there are (and have been in centuries past) people who do not think the Bible teaches it. Many of the responses from pastors and teachers range from a mild: "The majority don't agree with you so you must be wrong", to the vicious "For every week you leave your ad in the papers, God will increase the temperature of the fires of hell for you personally". Most are somewhere in between these remarks. But none have told me they are able to refute the evidence. And, until they can, they will not be able to stop me from sharing the good news that a correctly (literally, not interpretively) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. During my twelve year nervous breakdown caused by my inability to emotionally cope with the idea that God lets any creature suffer forever in hell, every morning, as I washed my family’s dishes, I would listen to one of Ray Prinzing’s many tapes. I have listened to 178 of them several times, and 23 of them many times In addition to these tapes, I always read every issue of his periodical GOSPEL ECHOES which he later renamed LETTERS OF TRUTH and gleaned many pages of his writings into my personal journal. Many people have a hero, someone in their life that made a contribution to their welfare so significant that it is far above the influence that anyone else has had. Ray Prinzing is that hero to me. For several years my 95 year old dad called me from his nursing home each evening. Each time he called I read a portion of my over four thousand page journal to him, and many of these readings are the gleanings that I wrote from Ray Prinzing’s writings and tapes. Many nights my dad fell asleep listening to one of Ray’s tapes. As I listened to Ray’s tapes during my nervous breakdown (1966-78) I gradually became more and more sure that I was going to recover. The contents of his tapes gave me the courage, in 1978, to take a public stand that I believe that the Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. (I’m 69) My panic attacks completely stopped. And now I spend most of my time offering people, in various ways, the information that helped me recover and helps me stayed recovered. The current issues and many back issues of UNSEARCHABLE RICHES magazine (started in 1909) from the CONCORDANT PUBLISHING CONCERN, and the GRACE AND TRUTH magazine from England have both been a great help to me. In addition to Ray Prinzing’s tapes and writings there is one particular book and one particular set of tapes that have been very influential in my life. The book is A.E. Knoch’s ALL IN ALL. In spite of the claim that there are contradictions in it, and in spite of “cult-buster” Don Hewey’s other attempts to discredit it, (arguments to which Richard Condon has responded), ALL IN ALL remains, in my opinion, one of the best of all the many books that I have read in support of the Bible teaching universal transformation. Don Hewey is a believer in the inspiration of the King James Version. When he accuses A.E. Knoch of "contradicting the Bible," in many cases what he really means is that A.E. Knoch contradicts the KJV, because the Concordant Translation does not rely on the Received Text from which the KJV was translated. Don Hewey therefore also attacks the RSV, the NIV, and other modern translations. For this reason much of what Don writes just doesn't make any sense. As far as Knoch calling the life that Lazarus will be raised to as it being eonian and unending, it is both. Lazarus will have unending life and that life will allow him to live through the oncoming eons which is called '"eonian life." But even if Don Hewey’s criticisms had any merit, they would still not detract from the fact that this book IRREFUTABLY proves that the Bible teaches universal salvation, not eternal torment, or even annihilation. After all, such believers are sure that they, unlike others, have “made their decision for Christ.” And, they say, this has not occurred in the grace of God as a result of their having been chosen before the disruption of the world (even if the Scriptures do say so), but is the result and is thanks to their very own decision. Though others may far excel them in lesser things, when it comes to what is most important, they think it is obvious that they are superior. They think, “At least I was willing and sufficiently disciplined, for when it mattered the most I did the right thing and the switch got thrown, so people like me will go up to heaven while everyone else will go down to hell.” Just think of it. Picture this type of self-help salvation and pride. For all eternity (or at least for the ages) they will be able to say, “All those miserable sinners burning in hell could have gone to heaven too. Certainly the work of Christ saved no one at all. It wasn’t supposed to. All it did was make salvation possible. Besides, every one of those sinners deserves to be in everlasting burning, for unlike me, they didn’t do what they should have and could have. And here I am in eternal bliss, perfectly good and perfectly happy, even though billions of my fellow creatures are perfectly miserable and doomed to stay that way forever (or at least for the ages). Yet in the end I only got here myself because of what I did, not because of the sacrifice of Christ. I chose to meet God’s demands for His (so-called) free gift and I did so. I wasn’t given any special grace. It wasn’t any easier for me than for anyone else. It’s too late now anyway so let them burn. Too bad for them, but not for me. I’m happy and so is God. In fact we’re all happy here.” You see, that’s the ultimate selfishness of that view and that’s what it leads to. One can only avoid boasting in self by truly ceasing to believe things and say things that are inherently of a boastful nature. It is only the word of the cross that effectively and wisely trains us in this true humility so that “if anyone is boasting, in the Lord let him be boasting,” as Paul says. The “danger” in preaching the truth resides only in the imagination of the person who doesn’t understand the truth. The online book “HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE” by James Coram needs no defense. It stands on its own merit. It has helped many people. It will help many more. Most comments and questions regarding this book are responded to within the writing itself, for example, “WHAT ARE CORRECT TRANSLATIONS OF THE BIBLE?” A frequent response to first learning about the existence of this book is, “You believe the words of men, but we believe the Bible.” But the actual reading of, “HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE” by James Coram will prove to all readers that JUST THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE. IMHO, "HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE" by James Coram is the most powerful of all of the dozens of books that I have read, the hundreds of tapes that I have listened to, and the many online articles that I have read that show that a correctly, (literally, not interpretively) translated Bible teaches universal salvation, not eternal torment, or even annihilation. (I am 68 years old) In fact, to me it is so powerful that it renders all arguments to the contrary completely irrelevant to the truth that it proves that, by the time God’s plan for the ages of time has been consummated, the universal salvation of all sinful creatures from everything from which they need to be saved, most certainly, will have occurred. MY TESTIMONY The idea that God lets any creature suffer endlessly has caused me more suffering than all other problems of my life combined. By the time I had reached the mission field I had hoped to have found a satisfactory answer that would justify God allowing this to happen. I didn't find such an answer. Surrounded by thousands of people, dozens of whom were dying every day and beginning an eternity of suffering in hell was too much for me. In 1966, at age 28, it caused me to have a nervous breakdown. For several weeks I was confined to my bed in a state of terror night and day. The terror was caused by the fear of what a God I could not love or respect would do to me after I died. It took me twelve years to fully recover from the breakdown. I quickly became agnostic, for the Christian gospel and the Bible were no longer any comfort to me at all. Many evangelical friends tried to help me. They meant well, but in the end they all had only words of condemnation towards me. This added more suffering to my already intense suffering. Gradually I began to learn that there have been, in centuries past, and still are today, a few people in the world that see a different kind of God in the Bible. They see a God who will not let any creature suffer forever. They see a God in the Bible who will change every second of everyone's suffering into something better that it happened, including the sufferings of Satan. I learned that a correctly (literally) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. I read dozens of books, and listened to hundreds of tapes by men who believe this way and I gradually became converted to believing this way myself. Since 1981, through my newspaper ads and my telephone ministry, I have sent out many hundreds of packets of literature explaining why I believe as I do. I have also sent this evidence to hundreds of pastors and Bible school teachers. None of them have told me that they are able to refute it. I have also read eight books that were supposed to refute the evidence in favor of universalism, but none of them do. Because of this evidence, my panic attacks became less frequent until twelve years after my breakdown they ceased altogether. Now nothing gives me greater pleasure than to make this evidence available to others who have suffered because of the same problem I had even though they have embraced Christ and His gospel for themselves, and I use a substantial amount of my money and time to this end. Because of the enormous amount of suffering the idea of "endless hell" causes in this world, I am asking you to consider the possibility that you should stop endorsing the idea that the Bible teaches it. Or, at least, let others know that there are (and have been in centuries past) people who do not think the Bible teaches it. Many of the responses from pastors and teachers range from a mild: "The majority don't agree with you so you must be wrong", to the vicious "For every week you leave your ad in the papers, God will increase the temperature of the fires of hell for you personally". Most are somewhere in between these remarks. But none have told me they are able to refute the evidence. And, until they can, they will not be able to stop me from sharing the good news that a correctly (literally) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. All comments and questions regarding this book are responded to within the writing itself, for example, “WHAT ARE CORRECT TRANSLATIONS OF THE BIBLE?” A frequent response to first learning about the existence of this book is, “You believe the words of men, but we believe the Bible.” But the actual reading of, “HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE” by James Coram will prove to all readers that JUST THE OPPOSITE IS TRUE. IMHO, "HIS ACHIEVEMENT ARE WE" by James Coram is the most powerful of all of the dozens of books that I have read, the hundreds of tapes that I have listened to, and the many online articles that I have read that show that a correctly, (literally, not interpretively) translated Bible teaches universal salvation, not eternal torment, or even annihilation. (I am 68 years old) In fact, to me it is so powerful that it renders all arguments to the contrary completely irrelevant to the truth that it proves that, by the time God’s plan for the ages of time has been consummated, the universal salvation of all sinful creatures from everything from which they need to be saved, most certainly, will have occurred. Date Posted: 14:08:45 12/20/06 Wed My understanding of salvation, as revealed by God in His inspired word, is that we are all sinners on the way to the lake of fire and annihilation. Jesus Christ died in our place so that we would have the opportunity to escape eternal death and receive the free gift of eternal life. Even though salvation is free, we have to fulfill a condition. We must repent of our sins (lawbreaking (1Jhn. 3:4)), submit to Him as Lord, and obey His Ten Commandment Law, which is the foundation of righteousness. God will not allow anyone in heaven who will not obey Him. Since Jesus Christ is the only name under heaven given to mankind through Whom we will receive the free gift of eternal life (Acts 4:12), there is no other religion that can save us. The Law cannot save anyone. Salvation only comes through the fact that Jesus shed His blood in our place. He suffered our punishment so we would not have to. Salvation is offered as a free gift. We can do nothing to earn it. We must, however, fulfill the condition of repenting of our sins, submitting to Him as Lord, and obeying His Ten Commandment Law. Salvation is free. Repentance, submission to Jesus as LORD, and obedience to His Ten Commandments is a condition we must meet. Think of it this way: Suppose your rich uncle said he would give you a million dollars if you would quit smoking for a year. Your uncle earned the million dollars. Quitting smoking is a condition. The money is free if you fulfill the condition. Quitting smoking will never “earn” you a million dollars. Here are some verses that seem to support my understanding of salvation: “If you wish to enter into life, keep the commandments” (Matthew 19:17). “Repent (and each of you be baptized) in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:38). “The mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so…However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him” (Romans 8:7,9). “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36[NASB]). “He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation” (Hebrews 5:9). So it seems that we can conclude that IF WE WOULD ENTER ETERNAL LIFE, WE MUST REPENT OF OUR SINS, SUBMIT TO JESUS CHRIST AS LORD, AND OBEY HIS TEN COMMANDMENT LAW. If we do not obey Him, He is not our Lord. If He is not our Lord He cannot be our Savior. |

The many entries in my guest book that is accessible towards the bottom of the front page on my site, and the many positive emails in my email file folders, show that the content of my testimony is helping many people. http://greater-emmanuel.org/Hope4You/ (nothing for sale on this site) MY TESTIMONY The idea that God lets any creature suffer endlessly has caused me more suffering than all other problems of my life combined. By the time I had reached the mission field I had hoped to have found a satisfactory answer that would justify God allowing this to happen. I didn't find such an answer. Surrounded by thousands of people, dozens of whom were dying every day and beginning an eternity of suffering in hell was too much for me. In 1966, at age 28, it caused me to have a nervous breakdown. For several weeks I was confined to my bed in a state of terror night and day. The terror was caused by the fear of what a God I could not love or respect would do to me after I died. It took me twelve years to fully recover from the breakdown. I quickly became agnostic, for the Christian gospel and the Bible were no longer any comfort to me at all. Many evangelical friends tried to help me. They meant well, but in the end they all had only words of condemnation towards me. This added more suffering to my already intense suffering. Gradually I began to learn that there have been, in centuries past, and still are today, a few people in the world that see a different kind of God in the Bible. They see a God who will not let any creature suffer forever. They see a God in the Bible who will change every second of everyone's suffering into something better that it happened, including the sufferings of Satan. I learned that a correctly (literally) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. I read dozens of books, and listened to hundreds of tapes by men who believe this way and I gradually became converted to believing this way myself. Since 1981, through my newspaper ads and my telephone ministry, I have sent out many hundreds of packets of literature explaining why I believe as I do. I have also sent this evidence to hundreds of pastors and Bible school teachers. None of them have told me that they are able to refute it. I have also read eight books that were supposed to refute the evidence in favor of universalism, but none of them do. Because of this evidence, my panic attacks became less frequent until twelve years after my breakdown they ceased altogether. Now nothing gives me greater pleasure than to make this evidence available to others who have suffered because of the same problem I had even though they have embraced Christ and His gospel for themselves, and I use a substantial amount of my money and time to this end. Because of the enormous amount of suffering the idea of "endless hell" causes in this world, I am asking you to consider the possibility that you should stop endorsing the idea that the Bible teaches it. Or, at least, let others know that there are (and have been in centuries past) people who do not think the Bible teaches it. Many of the responses from pastors and teachers range from a mild: "The majority don't agree with you so you must be wrong", to the vicious "For every week you leave your ad in the papers, God will increase the temperature of the fires of hell for you personally". Most are somewhere in between these remarks. But none have told me they are able to refute the evidence. And, until they can, they will not be able to stop me from sharing the good news that a correctly (literally) translated Bible teaches universal transformation, not endless suffering in hell, or even annihilation. A website that answers all the arguments that seem to support the idea that the Bible teaches endless suffering in hell is TENTMAKER. Imho, Pastor Bils is a doubter of the word and not a doer of the word. He has no faith that God can rebuild FBC. His personal life and family imho is so messed up that he had no right to point at the splinters in my eye and call me a fool. Pastor Steve Bil's is NOT the current Florida Bible College Alumni President. Pastor Bil's term as the FBCAA President expired around eight years ago. Under Pastor Bil's leadership, he chose to discontinue the Florida Bible College Alumni Association Newsletter because (in his own words) "...If they are not going to send me any money I am going to discontinue the FBCAA Newsletter". Pastor Bil's did imho little to nothing as the Florida Bible College Alumni Association President to try and keep Florida Bible College from closing. He believes that it is God's will for Florida Bible College to remain closed. Steve Bils has said to me several times in the past "I believe that it was God's will to close FBC", but he now waffles from that statement and claims "I never said that God closed FBC, I don't believe that it was either God or Satan who closed FBC ". But what does the word of God say? The word of God says that it is the devil himself who comes to "steal, kill and destroy". The truth is that the devil once closed Florida Bible College, but now God has re-opened it. FBC once allowed sin and the devil to get a foothold. We must not allow Satan to continue to have the victory. It was God's will to re-open Florida Bible College. Bible colleges are no exception to that rule. |

In Eph 2 the Apostle Paul sets forth the basic three-fold division in God’s dealing with mankind: Time Past (vs 11,12), But Now v. 13), the Ages to Come (v. 7). When the Bible is “laid out” according to this divinely inspired design we easily get an overview of not only that we are reading but when and to whom it was written. Thus the Word of God itself provides us with the key to its own proper understanding and right division: Time Past: Eph. 2:11-12 sets forth the basic issue in Time Past as the division between the Circumcision and the Uncircumcision, between the nation Israel and the Gentiles. When you find this issue governing the way God was working with man, you know you are in Time Past. This covers the “Old Testament” (see Gen. 17:9-14. Deut. 4:5-8, Num. 23:9) as well as Matthew thru John (see Rom. 15:8, Matt. 105-6; 15:24; John 4:22 and the early Acts period (see Luke 24:47, Acts 1:6-8; 2:14,22,36:5:32:11:19). But Now: Eph. 2:13 indicates that in the But Now portion Gentiles are no longer “far off” but rather the “middle wall of partition” between Israel and the Gentiles has been eliminated and now “those who were far off are made nigh.” Romans thru Philemon provide the doctrine for the dispensation of grace (Rom. 11:13; 15:16; 16:25, 1 Cor. 14:37, Eph. 3:1-9). The Ages to Come: God will bring His purposes to fruition and thus Eph. 2:7 points to the Ages to Come. The books of Hebrews thru Revelation focus on this. The chart below will demonstrate the importance of the secret, hidden nature of the present dispensation of grace (Eph. 3:1-9). Click on the dispensation chart below hide the “mystery” section and you will see the perfect continuity of that “which God hath spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:21). The present dispensation of grace is “the mystery” hid in God until first revealed to the Apostle Paul (Eph. 3:1-9, Col. 1”24-26, Rom. 16:25-26, 1 Tim. 2:4-7, Tit. 1:2-3, etc.) Thus in Paul’s writings alone we find the doctrine, position, walk and destiny of the body of Christ. Are we really alone here on Earth, or did God create life elsewhere as well? Well as I am sure you know, that is a question which people have been asking themselves for a very long time. I know it is something which I have likewise pondered for a number of years, since I was a kid actually, many years ago. Well, since a few years ago, some people decided to find out the answer to that intriguing question. That is what the SETI@home project is all about. Some of you here have probably heard about it. For those of you who are not familiar with it, SETI stands for "Search For Extraterrestrial Intelligence". What the SETI@home project does, is it takes data collected by the radio telescope located in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, and analyzes it for repetitious radio signals at certain frequencies, which may possibly be indicative of intelligent extraterrestrial life. To date, after a number of years, they have found nothing definitive. At any rate, the folks at the University of California at Berkeley, (who also brought us the legendary "After Dark" screensavers), invented a new way of analyzing data, whereby, instead of using a super-computer to crunch the data on their campus, (or "crunching the numbers"), they distribute packets of data, called "work units", or WU's for short, to regular people like you and me, who want to help them with the project. In this way, they have in effect created a super-computer which is made up of thousands of personal computers which are scattered all over the world. This form of computing is called "Distributed Computing", or DC for short. Some people also refer to it as "Network Computing". Naturally, this form of computing speeds up the process of analyzing the data significantly. As of October of 2004, there are over 50,000 active participants in the SETI@home project, and over 5 million people have registered to date. The work load is distributed to all of these people by means of a small free program which each participant installs on his or her computer. This program, which is called the BOINC Client, (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing), works as either a regular clickable program, or as a screensaver, and there are versions for both Macintosh and Windows machines, as well as for a few other platforms. As I said, the BOINC client, as well as the original SETI@home "classic" client are absolutely free. You can download the latest version of the client for your particular platform at the SETI@home website. As far as rules and obligations are concerned, there are no rules regarding when or how much you have to run the program. It is entirely up to you. If you set it to screensaver mode, it will only crunch data when you are not using your computer, and it is sitting idle, but still on. In other words, whether you run it as a regular program, or as a screensaver, it only uses CPU cycles that you are not using. That means that it will not interfere with any other work that you may be doing on your computer. It only uses the computer power that you are not using. Of course, the faster your computer is, the more data the program will be able to crunch in a shorter amount of time; and, if you happen to own a dual processor machine, that will give you even more of an advantage over others who may have single processor computers. Some people might find the SETI@home project to be dull, boring science. Well, the people who run SETI@home thought of that possibility; and so, to make it a little more interesting and exciting, they introduced the concept of teams. Teams are where people who have common interests join together in order to collect more credits. Credits are given based upon how many work units you, (or your team), have completed, as well as by how many of those completed units are verified by other SETI@home participants. In other words, a quality control system has been implemented so that results are not validated until at least two or three participants submit the same results for the same work unit. So the idea behind SETI@home teams is basically to create an atmosphere of friendly competition; all of which serves the greater purpose of getting more people to crunch the data. There are school teams, university teams, business teams, and many others. You will find them listed on the teams page at the SETI@home website. Now, this is where you and I enter the picture. Some people have attempted to form Christian teams in the past, but from the looks of it, it seems like most of them have floundered and fallen apart after a while. So, after pondering the idea for a while, I decided to start a new Christian SETI@home team called "Curious Christians". At the present, the only requirement I have set is that any potential member of our team must be a dedicated Bible-believing Christian. You can be of any denomination you like. All that matters to me is that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. I am a non-denominational Christian myself, and so the idea here, is to bring together as many Christians as possible to form what we might call one "super team" of Christians who want to participate in the SETI@home project. Some of you might be wondering why I, a Bible-believing Christian, would become involved in a project which would seek to prove whether or not intelligent extraterrestrial life exists. Well, one reason is because, like millions of other people around the globe, I am curious; and I am sure that some of you here are as well. Whether or not God created intelligent life elsewhere is really an open question, if we can be honest with ourselves. Also, there is an element of excitement and fun to the SETI@home project. Do I personally believe that intelligent extraterrestrial life exists, or that we will someday make contact with it? Those are rather profound questions which merit in-depth responses. If you would really like to know what I think, then I encourage you to read some of the articles. I am not allowed to advertise our website here due to this board's rules, so let just say that you can also read my personal profile at the SETI@home website in order to see what some of my current views are. Of course, it would be dishonest of me to say that curiosity, fun and excitement are my only motivations for joining the SETI@home project. Being an evangelical-minded Christian, it is also my hope that, in obedience to Jesus' commandment to let our light shine before men, (Matthew 5:16), I might be able to share the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ with other participants of the SETI@home project. As I noted a moment ago, once you join the project, you get your own profile page where you can put a photo of yourself, (which is entirely optional), as well as tell other SETI members about yourself. In my case, I have used my personal profile as an opportunity to be a Christian witness to others. And upon the pages of the bible is the knowledge of good and evil. The bible is poisoned with the knowledge of evil. Ritualistic animal sacrifices, ceremonies incorporating the blood of dead animals, superstitious numbers, curses, evil spirits, dark prophecies... all in the bible. Plotting, conspiracy, mass-murder, betrayal, genocide, slavery, suffering, wars... all in the bible. A book is not 'Holy' if it contains the knowledge of evil, Satan, the devil, demons... It used to be compulsory, but God had nothing to do with it. ..... Those governments made a mess of it, and the secular governments took over from them. It is derived from the Talmud and traces its roots back to the ancient Gnostics. It is never mentioned in the Bible at all. If people want a religion that calls for the beheading of those who believe that Jesus Christ is savior and Lord then the Noahide heresy is just the thing. There is nothing whatsoever in Genesis 9 about the Noahide heresy. You said: "There are laws and rules associated with it, and it applies to all mankind." You forgot to mention that these laws are meant (by the rabbis) to apply only to Noahides, that is only to gentiles. Do we really want a world religion that has one set of rules (applied very leniently) for Jews and another different set of rules for gentiles for which even the slightest offense incurs the death penalty?? I'm sure I speak for most Christians when I say "No thank you" to the Noahide conspiracy. I would tell you what you can do with the Noahide laws but I prefer to rest polite. |

One way we do this is to vote, and to elect candidates whose views reflect God's laws. We believers are not second-class citizens; we have a voice! Don't stay home on election day. Exercise your Christian duty to vote! Many candidates for public office claim to serve the public but ignore unborn children who are killed daily by abortion. These candidates speak glowingly of human rights, but ignore the right to life. Be sure you know where candidates stand on abortion. After all, if a politician can't respect the life of a little baby, how is he supposed to respect yours? Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, but to God what belongs to God. In this familiar Gospel passage, our Lord said the coin belongs to Caesar because it bears his image. What, then belongs to God? Jesus made clear that there is a separation between the "normal" community called "The World", and the special, loving, community called "The Kingdom of God". And the only people authorized to call themelves "Christians" are those living in that kingdom, with a communal lifstyle described in Acts 2:44-47 and Acts 4: 32-37. As more and more qualify to enter the kingdom, they, at the same time, leave the world. And the hope is that eventually NOBODY would remain in the world. That would be the end of the world. ..... Obviously those who still are in the world can participate in elections, but they are NOT Christians while still in the world. |
