Subject: Is anybody else fed up with fangirls? (bitchy rant)

Why do some fangirls refuse to accept that their stuff is absoloutly bollocks? Why do they throw hissy fits and snap at the people who tell them that it is? I have a small Baldur's Gate II fanfic up; less than 500 words. It has 18 reviews, an astonishing amount for that category. Most of them are flames from fangrrls who are upset that they didn't recieve "OMG UR SOTRY ROX!1111!!!". I've just gotten rid of (With the help of margin, or ginmar) a group of Welsh fangirls who got upset with us, when some little fangrrl started up...again.

Her name is "Legolas-girl". She appeared on the GAFF message board after somebody noticed she'd uploaded a small "fic" on the history of Orlando Bloom. We reported it, but stupidly, I was attracted to her other fics.

 "Lord of the rings takes over all my children" is the title of this little disaster piece. It's the usual sucky sucky sucky little "OMG, the LOTR characters are in my fav TV show!" (Ironically enough, the Welsh fangirls mentioned previously had come up with LOTR Big Brother, and refused to accept that it was neither witty nor original). However, this authoress has created three mini-balrogs. And Brittany Spears, which I think is evil enough alone. Behold; Pippen, Boromire, and Arogorn. Displeased with this mutilation of names, I left a brief, succinct review: Hooray for fangirls and mini-balrogs! " AROGORN" is "ArAgorn". "Brittany" is Britney. Gah, there are so many other things wrong with this fanfic I don't have time to point them out. Have you ever read the books? No, silly me, otherwise you wouldn't call yourself Legolas-girl. Imagine my annoyed expression when I noticed the lovely, charming lass had left me a review in my poor, belittled fanfic saying: How gay is that what the freakin' crap r u trying to say um like hello?? lemme guess you haven't played the game have you.. hm or mabey u were just being a jerk when you reviewed like that to me?? *sigh* with losers like you on fanfic at least I will have ppl to give bad reviews to! Now, I wonder how old this girl is. I, myself, am approaching sixteen-eight more days- but this girl sounds much younger. Annoyed, I left her a review from my sock-puppet, reading simply Um, look hon, Kaltia was just trying to help ya. if you're going to flame, learn what you're talking about. And how to spell. We're trying to offer advice and if you insist on sticking your nose up in the air and refusing to accept that your work is not 100% fantastic...why do you put it up on the internet? Can't you tell the difference between constructive criticism and a flame? Kaltia's review is what's known as constructive criticism; harsh things pointed out to allow the author to improve his or her work. A flame would be, "OMG U SUK COK!". Did Kaltia write that? No, she did not. She merely pointed out where you'd spelled names wrong so that you could get them right. (Talking about myself in third person? Gah, it'll be third person plural next). Yet, as one GAFF member noted, fangirls run in packs and bite when pounced on. I recieved a review from "LegolasGirl'sBestFriend" stating: well first of all u stupid idiotic bitch! ur story is so fucken gay that i couldnt finish it! u wanna go raggin on becca thats cool but from mnow on ull deal w/ me! ok so she gets 1 more email or bad review from u girl ill kick ur ass either verbaly or maybe someday physicaly!k?!? byez!

Now, I want to know: WHY CAN'T FANGIRLS LEAVE WELL ENOUGH ALONE?! Why do they insist on embarassing themselves all over the web by pointing out their illiteracy? As Ginmar,a friend, pointed out; You're not entitled to give someone a bad review when you can't even spell three styllable words correctly. You were reviewed correctly, and you flamed someone in retaliation. I'm fed up with seeing my fanfic flamed by girls who don't even know the fandom. Those which *do* have said that it is good, and I trust them, but why oh why can't the fangirls sod off? I'm tempted to find them and bugger them with the splintered jagged ends of their humerous bone before the day is out...Gods...
