Concerned person I heard about your messages from a colleague and just had to come on to defend Wendy Rotheram and the committee of Daulby Street Church. Perhaps I should not have lowered myself to even look at this site but having done so and having read all the ridiculous comments, I am driven to defend the good people who now run Daulby. Since the new committee was formed almost two years ago, Wendy and the committee have ensured the church is run exactly according to the SNU rule book, simply because of all the troubles that almost resulted in the church closing and I know Wendy has upset some people because she would not (or could not) take sides. The committee is not responsible for people making the wrong choice in partners, which is what happened with you (and I do know who you are) and you are upset with Wendy because she would not stop your ex from attending the church but then again be fair, she did not stop you either did she? You forget about all the help Wendy and the committee gave you, well over and above that which was required of them and because she is NOT a gossip, as she has been accused of being, she has kept all your confidences. Am I right in thinking the person you are talking about said the things she did to you, personally? outside of the church? As far as I can make out she did not say them in the church, or if she did it was not in earshot of any committee member, in which case how can any of them be held responsible for something she was supposed to have said. You also say she attends a development class, which she does not and I know that because Daulby do not have any development classes at present she does in fact attend the open circle occasionally. Open means it is OPEN to anyone over the age of 16 and even if she were mentally ill, it is illegal to discriminate against anyone with any physical or mental disability. IF she IS mentally ill, when was she diagnosed and by whom and what is the actual diagnosis? I ask you concerned person to think very carefully before you continue with this vendetta because you may just put the committee in the position where they will have to contact the police and then of course everything will have to be revealed because there will be no alternative the police will want to know ALL of the details and by the way are the people who contribute to this site and who are supporting you, aware that this 'mentally ill' person is a friend of theirs and that she also has an injunction out against you? The police would not do that if there was not just cause would they?
