Basic Thuganomics rapes the speakers to a THUNDEROUS ovation for the crowd, all jumping to their feet for the number one contender, the Doctor himself, John Cena! He struts out onto the top of the stage, throwing the “Word Life” sign above his head on his way down the ramp and into the ring, sliding into it on his knees from under the bottom rope and goes from side to side, popping the crowd as he calls for a mic.


Yooooo… Yooooo… Yoooooo… Yoooooo… YOOOOOOOO!

Tonight is the night… tonight is the night that John Cena claims UCW GOLD!

I’m focused; nothing can stand in my way. So Edge, if you don’t want none there won’t be none… but if you’re man enough… if you want some? Come GET SOME!


He pulls his chain from his neck and drops it in a corner, taking his throwback off and tosses it out to the crowd, waving Edge on down!









“Metallingus” by Alter Bridge hits the speakers, and moments later, the United States Champion Edge bounces out onto the top of the stage, ignoring the fans and focuses his sight on Cena on his way down the ramp, telling the ref to back him away before sliding into the ring.


Once inside, referee Brian Hebner holds the US belt up for all to see and calls for the bell. Cena and Edge meet in the middle of the ring, standing nose to nose and jawing at one another. John then waves his hand in front of his face to a pop from the crowd, and Edge retaliates, trying to slap the Doctor across the face! John blocks it and drills Edge with a right hand, and then a second, leaning him against the ropes and fires him across, dropping him with a STIFF shoulder block!

Edge goes rolling all the way across the ring and ends up on his knees, glaring at Cena with his eyes wide and charges forward, but Cena takes him over with a side headlock, slamming him onto the mat. Edge pounds the mat in frustration and battles his way up, attempting to fire him across, but Cena holds onto Edge’s hair and pulls him right into another headlock take-over to a pop from the crowd!

Cena grins as Edge stomps the mat in anger, fighting his way to his feet once more. He now takes John over with a back suplex and dives right onto him, ramming repeated right hands to his head in a rage! Edge gets to his feet and calls Cena on, meeting him with a fist to the head and leans him against the ropes, firing him across. Cena comes off the ropes and Edge leapfrogs him. John then hits the far side ropes and comes flying back with a missile shoulder tackle, sending Edge flying through the middle ropes and to the outside!

As soon as Edge picks himself up, facing away from the ring, Cena comes charging in with a baseball slide, drilling Edge and sending him crashing into the barricade! Cena now slides to the outside and pounds fists with fans in the front row, pulling Edge up by the hair and rocking him back with a right hand. Edge stumbles against the barricade and John comes tearing in, clotheslining him over and into the crowd!

The fans are firmly behind Cena as he climbs onto the barricade and measures Edge, flashes the “Word Life” sign above his head, and then leaps off with a flying clothesline, taking him back down! John pops right back up to his feet and pounds his chest, taking a beer from a fan and chugging it, and then SPITS it right in Edge’s face! As Edge rubs his eyes, John lifts him over his head with a military press and tosses him over the barricade and back to ringside, slamming him onto the mat!

Cena climbs back over the railing, playing to the crowd as he follows after Edge, picking him up and rolls him back into the ring. John climbs up to the top rope and decides to showboat, leaning over and PUMPS UP THE KICKS! The crowd pops as Cena measures Edge and flies off, but Edge meets him with a standing dropkick to the gut! This sends John crashing into the mat and he rolls out onto the apron, holding his gut and pulling himself up. Edge takes advantage and comes roaring in, SPEARING Cena in the back and sends him crashing so HARD into the barricade that he rebounds right off of it and goes crashing to his back!

The crowd cringes as Cena gasps for air, kicking his feet on the floor! Edge rolls to the outside and stalks right in after him, locking the challenger into his variation of the Sharpshooter! Cena is SCREAMING in pain as Hebner starts his mandatory ten-count, stopping at 9 as Edge rolls in and out of the ring. Edge looks down to the hurting Cena and slaps him across the back of the head, pulling him up to his feet and rolls him back into the ring. John rolls to the other side and attempts to pull himself up using the ropes. Edge comes over to him and taunts him, SLAPPING him across the face! This does nothing but energize Cena, and he takes Edge to the mat with a double leg take-down and begins to unload with a series of right hands!

Cena pops back up to his feet as the crowd cheers for him, holding his ribs before coming at Edge with a haymaker, but Edge ducks it and grabs him by the back of the head, jamming him into the mat with the Edge-O-Matic and grabs his legs as they kick up for the one, two, TWO! Cena kicks out! Edge now begins to stomp all over the Doctor, playing close attention to his ribs as John cowers away in a corner. Edge pulls him up and drills him with a right hand. Cena, however, battles back with a few rights of his own and tosses Edge back first into the corner, and then begins to stomp a mud hole into him! He pulls him up and goes to fire him across, but edge reverses the Irish whip and sends Cena crashing sternum first into the corner! As John leans there, Edge comes roaring in with another SPEAR to the back, and then pulls him out of the corner with a schoolboy, placing his feet on the ropes to boos from the fans as Hebner counts the one, two, TWO!

The crowd goes WILD as Cena kicks out, refusing to give up! Edge pulls at his hair and argues with the official before going back over to the challenger, ramming a forearm onto his lower back. He pulls Cena up, but John drills him with a right hand, and then a boot to the mid section that bends him over. As quick as a cat, John comes off the ropes from behind Edge and goes for the Throwback, but Edge turns and catches him with a Powerslam DEEP into the mat for the one, two, TWO! Cena kicks out AGAIN!

Edge slaps the mat in anger and frustration now, stomping all over Cena! He now heads out onto the apron and climbs onto the top rope, waits for John to stand and then flies off. However, Cena catches Edge with another boot to the gut and then hits the ropes, JAMMING Edge into the mat this time with the Throwback flipping neck breaker and covers for the one, two, TWO! Now it’s Edge who kicks out!

John now struggles to his feet, meeting Edge with a right hand to the head, and then a second. He goes to fire him off the ropes, but Edge counters and pulls him into a side Russian leg sweep! Edge now does a backwards roll to his feet and backs into a corner, leaning down and bouncing on his toes, just waving Cena up! As soon as John struggles up, Edge comes roaring in for the Spear, but Cena steps out of the way and Edge hits the corner! As soon as Edge rebounds out, Cena kicks him in the gut and PLANTS him into the mat with a DDT! Edge flattens out on the mat as Cena rolls over and hooks the leg, getting a one, two, TWO!

Now it’s Cena who gets frustrated, grabbing at his head. He pulls himself up and looks down to Edge, leaning over him and waves his hand in front of his face as the crowd sings along. “YOU CAN’T SEE ME!” He then comes off the ropes, dusts off his shoulder and DROPS the 5 Knuckle Shuffle to the top of Edge’s head!

As Edge pulls himself up, John leans over and pumps up the kicks once more, calling for the FU! As soon as Edge turns to face him, John hoists him onto his shoulders, but Edge battles his way free and floats over. Edge now goes for another Edge-O-Matic, but Cena spins through and around Edge with a waist lock. Edge immediately fires back with an elbow shot to the jaw, and then a second that rocks Cena back. As John stumbles around, Edge comes tearing in for the kill with a Spear, but John kicks him right in the head! As Edge straightens out, John quickly lifts him onto his shoulders and JAMS him into the mat with the FU, covering for a one, two, THREE!


“Basic Thuganomics” blasts over the speakers as John Cena has kick started the Royal Rumble by becoming the NEW United States Champion!

Hebner hands Cena the title and he cradles his first taste of gold to his chest before raising it above his head! He goes from side to side of the ring, pounding his chest in celebration with his chain gang!
