Subject: Taking Over


-The opening drumming to Dope’s “Debonaire” begins to pound over the sound system, and as soon as the tempo of the beat increase, from behind the stage appears the number one contender and General Manager, Jesse Hart and Athene!-











-They make their way down to the ring with smug, arrogant grins, brushing off the jeers from the fans. Jesse leaps onto the apron, in tip top form, and he sits on the middle ropes, holding them open for the General Manager. Athene smiles and nods her head before stepping through them and into the ring, taking a long look around the arena before being handed a mic as Jesse talks trash with a fan in the front row.-


Athene: Ric Flair… I really worry about you, you know that? Week in and week out you get yourself all worked up, when we all know you’re on the edge of having a heart attack… you’re not young anymore old man, you need to relax and leave this kind of thing to the people who are still built to handle it. With that said, you SURE as hell don’t own me… I know you’re used to women letting you say what you want to them, but you need to learn that the women you pay and women like me are NOT the same. I know you’ll find this hard to swallow, but Jesse and I are on our way to making ourselves bigger legends than you could ever imagine yourself to be. And because of that I can’t say that I blame you for wanting compensation for my leaving Raw, because I KNOW I’ve left a huge hole behind. However, that doesn’t mean that I give a DAMN what you want, so you can just call my lawyer because I am, after all, the Smackdown! General Manager, and I have better things to deal with than the likes of you or your show. So just you try me, old man.


-Athene purses her lips as she hands the mic over to Jesse.-


Hart: And you know what that means… the band is back together! -He waits out the boos from the fans before continuing.- Hey Flair, Hunter.. while you guys are having your balls busted by some punk from Winnipeg who couldn’t handle it in the big leagues, tucked his tail between his legs and ran to the smaller pond with the old fish, I’m here week in and week out, building MY legacy, and making the both of yours look like shit. Triple H, you can call yourself the diamond in the ruff all you want, but I’m so filthy rich I shit diamonds.

-He waits out the crowd’s reaction before continuing.- Now if you would all just shut up, listen, and learn… was that a swerve or was that a swerve? I thought for sure that we were busted last week when Steph was asking me how I was gonna get her in. But the fact of the matter, Steph, is that I didn’t decide to end our partnership when Athene was named General Manager, I decided to end it before ‘Thene and I went about GETTING her the job.


-He shakes his head as Athene claps her hands with a smile, mouthing “good job”.-


Hart: Steph, it was just a matter of circumstance, nothing personal, you’re a doll. The bottom line, is that you just weren’t profitable to me anymore. You became a liability rather than an asset. ‘Thene, on the other hand, is the one and only person in this world that I can trust to have my back. She’s the one and only person in this world that has never let me down. I trust this woman with my life… and you? I don’t trust you as far as I can throw you, and trust me, with the extra meat you’ve been packing lately, that’s not too far. Actually, I think me taking your head off last week was a favor to you. Maybe now you’ll have a hard time swallowing, and you’ll be able to slim down a little before your next run. Good luck with that.

Now, onto Survivor Series, where it’ll be Jesse Hart and Kurt Angle one more time, for the Wor—


-Jesse is then interrupted as the old ECW theme rips over the speakers for the arrival of Paul Heyman!-














-Heyman marches down the ramp with a mic in hand and enters the ring, looking over to Hart and Athene, holding a hand up.-


Heyman: Please accept my apology for the interruption, but I just wanted to say… kudos. Kudos to you, Mr. Hart, and kudos to you, Miss. General Manager. We could all learn a lot from the two of you. You know what’s good for business. You knew that Stephanie McMahon wasn’t good for business, and you dealt with the issue, hands on. You knew something that I’ve been saying for as long as I can remember, and that’s that Tommy Dreamer is good for business, so you brought him to Smackdown! You know that Jax is good for business, so he’s there, but Josh Matthews… he’s NOT good for business. Paul Heyman, on the other hand, let me reassure you, is good for business. But unlike those ungrateful ingrates over on Raw who sent me to slaughter… unlike those BASTARDS who fed me to that monster Kane… I know that YOU know… that Paul Heyman is good for business. Now, that being said, I’d like to—


-Hart cuts him off.- Heyman, get in the booth.

Athene: You’re hired, Paul.


-Heyman’s eyes light up and he bows to them, thanking them repeatedly.- Thank you, thank you, you won’t regret this! -Heyman then struts over to the announce table, physically tossing Matthews aside and takes his spot!-


Hart: Hey Matthews, get your ass to the back and make yourself useful. Go find Kurt Angle and shine up that World Championship, because come Survivor Series, I’m making things right. At Survivor Series, I’m bringing home the final piece of the puzzle, and I WILL once again become the World Champi—









I’m all grown up… now…







~Hart is interrupted once more as Stephanie McMahon herself appears over the Smacktron, staring straight ahead and begins to speak as soon as her music is cut!~


Steph: Maybe you will Jesse, but then again, maybe you won’t. I got to know you fairly well during our time together, and let me tell you something Jesse, I expected more of you. You may have expected more out of me, and maybe I did drop the ball, but I’m not the only one to blame. You see, when Shane and I backed Jeff Jarrett, he took the ball and ran with it. He held onto the Undisputed Championship for dear life, but you? You TAPPED it away.


~Stephanie smirks as the fans begin to chant “YOU TAPPED OUT!” to Hart, and once they die down, she continues.~ So I don’t blame you for going another route, we were unsuccessful, but if you think that you can get it right this time with HER, then you’ve got another thing coming because Smackdown!, much like Raw, is run by a McMahon first and foremost. And what that means is that my big brother, Shane McMahon himself, is still the head of this brand, and his word if final. That being said, I’m here on behalf of my brother tonight to make an announcement regarding the Survivor Series Main Event. You see, last year, from the deranged mind of the then General Manager Mick Foley, came a contraption so horrendous… so vicious… so evil that it almost took every drop of your blood to escape it!


~The crowd begins to cheer, having an idea where this is going as Hart’s eyes go wide, shaking his head in disbelief.~


Steph: Just to show that you weren’t singled out last year Jesse, Kurt Angle is going to have the same task come Survivor Series, because he WILL be defending the World Championship against five other men inside of the ELIMINATION CHAMBER!!


~The crowd EXLODES for the announcement, and Jesse kicks the bottom rope, FURIOUS as Athene tries to calm him down!~


Stephanie: Kurt Angle will defend his championship against you, Jesse Hart, and just to be fair, a man to be appointed by the General Manager. Kurt Angle will also be defending against your opponent for this evening, Chris Benoit, “The Manster” Brock Lesnar, and finally… a man you’re all too familiar with… THE UNDERTAKER!!


~The crowd is going WILD for the announcements, and Hart is LIVID in the ring, storming around it and kicking every rope in his path, SCREAMING at Stephanie as we go into the Smackdown! Opening!~
