. his own shoulders slightly dropping . he falters as he searches for words of sympathy , yet sensing as to her rejection of pity . his blue eyes widen noticably as he scoots forward slightly and gives her a brief hug .

. stopping himself , he turns away with a slow sip of his beer to interrupt his words . he saw she did in no way need his pity , but the strong want to give sympathy to her was overbearing .

. i'm sorry . .

. slightly startled by the sudden entrance of Kat's voice , he turns to her with a slight shake of his head .

. sorry , i'm not in the mood to dance . .you guys can go ahead if you want to . . of course , you're always welcome to sit down .

. shrugging , he empties the bottle of beer , reaching over the bar and into a nearby cooler for another .
