Subject: Interesting post at wrestlingclassics.com

Hi all. I assume you are all up to date with the exchange between Warrior and SLAM! Sports. In Warrior's latest post he made a reference to Bret Hart. This hasn't gone down well with many of the WrestlingClassics.com board members. There's a thread dedicated to it on the message board. It contains quite alot of anti-Warrior comments and put downs etc. Anyway, the most recent post is by Greg Oliver who works for SLAM Sports. Greg has recently had a phone conversation with Warrior about what was written on the site. Here is what Greg posted on wrestlingclassics.com:

*********************************************

Warrior's post was originally written as a response to TJ Madigan's story/column in the Calgary Sun, which ran on the 'Net at SLAM! Wrestling.

As such, he contacted us at SLAM! Wrestling for a chance to respond.

We were, of course, open to the idea but had to confirm it was indeed him. So, yesterday, I talked with him for about 20 minutes.

He had some interesting things to say, and it was especially memorable to me because I had just been at the Hawk tribute show in Birch Run, MI, with the likes of Valentine, Snuka, Beefcake, R&R Express, HTM, Duggan on the show.

In short, he claims to have moved on from wrestling and for that, he feels that he gets a lot of grief from fans. Instead of hanging on well past his prime, he cut his ties and moved on.

I don't want to get into who's right or wrong. Just trying to offer up a little about what he had to say in our conversation.

*********************************************

Did everyone catch that?

"In short, he claims to have moved on from wrestling and for that, he feels that he gets a lot of grief from fans. Instead of hanging on well past his prime, he cut his ties and moved on"

Does not bode well for a comeback of any kind other than the computer game variety.

*sigh*
