Your story is a bit confusing, especially in light of the fact that I know several doctors and nurses who have been well trained on HSV1 & 2. First, I find it odd that your friend gets tested for diseases EVERY MONTH. That tells me she is either A. A prostitute or B. An adult movies actress. Need I say that either of those two professions carry a very high risk of contracting diseases from VARIOUS people. Also note that: Blood tests for the long-term IgG antibodies are generally reliable only after 12 to 16 weeks of infection. So, this means your friend contracted Herpes before she ever met Joey. Another factor to consider is this: Most Herpes tests must be performed during an active break out (active viral shedding) with the exception of the Western Blot test and blood tests. But, let me again remind you that it would take 12-16 weeks following infection before a test could be read that way. Let me also remind everyone that one poster attempted to tell poster that they saw a celebs "herpes medication" and used that as proof that a musician had HSV2. Valtrex, Famvir, Zovirax and other herpes medications are also very frequently used for cold sores (HSV1). You can get HSV1 on the genitals and HSV2 on the mouth. Many married MONOGOMOUS couples are passing HSV1 to their partner through oral activity during a cold sore breakout. In fact YOU CAN EVEN GIVE YOURSELF GENITAL HERPES by rubbing your genitals after rubbing your cold sore-ridden mouth. So, herpes is spread quite diffently than many other potentially sexually transmitted diseases. I'm not saying that there is a hole in YOUR story, Liberate. But there sure as hell is a big gapping hole in your friends story. She doesn't sound like someone who is in a position to accuse anyone of giving her anything. In the end, it was her own promiscuous behavior that gave her herpes. For more info on herpes test you can go here:

Another thing: In light of the fact that you DID share such a story about Joey, I wouldn't be quick to convince people that you indeed sleep with him.
