Why is what they think and their friendship or lack of, important to you? Are these people you knew from long ago or something?

Usually there are groupies of fans or groupies who believe they own the guy in question. They can be exclusive, not tell you important stuff and do whatever they can to shut you out and make you miserable, but the important thing is the music and the band (and what the guy you fancy thinks of you, and he's probably not going to be listening to any of them). Why they do it is their own personal problem. They can't have any power if you don't give it to them. Friends like that you don't need.
