Claire, have you ever thought that your contact might not know the full story either - only what he or she has been told?
Just because someone knows a person doesn't mean they know absolutely EVERYTHING about them. IF there has been a concerted effort to disguise Jimena's age (I have no idea whether there has or not - just theorising here) then it's not exactly something the involved parties would discuss freely with friends and colleagues, in case it caused friction or worse, leaked.
Truthfully? I'm not entirely sure there's anything sinister going on here, and contrary to the opinions of some, I don't see any real evidence that Page has a history of sleeping with underage girls - Lori Maddox seemed to be the exception rather than the rule, and his other known squeezes - Miss Pamela, Bebe, Charlotte, Krissy and Patricia - were all in their 20s or 30s when he was with them.
However, even the closest sources can be fed misinformation, so keep an open mind.
