That really helps & I think it's good to share. I don't mean it to sound critical of personal choices, I just wonder about the stark contrast - especially when exotic women have depth & personality, like you said.
A guitarist I dated once went on to have two wives who were a bit similar, dark & attractive - sort of a Susan Silver Beth Liebling look. Two others I knew had been married three times a piece & while each had one that approximated the artist/rocker look, the latest have a plain simplicity - like mid-aged moms you would see shopping.
It makes me wonder whether it's at times a deliberate choice of musicians who tour a lot - accepting what is just a fine union, or maybe a true change in taste. I also wonder if some musicians, depending on visibility, have peer pressure to have trophy-type girlfriends or wives.
