I've never met the man but I have a friend who dated him before Mindfreak. When they first started dating he didn't tell her he was married so when she found out she dumped him. After he separated from his wife he called her up again and they dated for a while. He promised her everything (of course) and didn't deliever (of course). Before he was famous he was the nicest guy in the world and treated her like a best friend. That all changed once he got some fame. She said he's a huge egomanic, a big baby who pitches a fit when he doesn't get what he wants and he has his entire family wrapped around his finger. Most of the cast who worked with him on season one of Mindfreak one are not on the seasons after that. It's because they all said he completely changed.
We all know magic is fake but his whole 'what you see is what you get' is bullshit. He uses camera tricks to pull off most of his illusions which is a huge no-no in magic.
She did say he was good in bed (she lost her virginity to him) and very well endowed.
