Then he should have gone ahead and married her. From what I understand they were two different women; Patricia was smarter and more sharp-whitted.
She probably got him during one of his breaks with Pam & maintained she wasn't to be kept in limbo the same way. But things happen when people are apart temporarily.
Maybe Jim should've sorted his life out better. I mean, he was with Pam for a long time and at the time of his death, so that must mean something.
