I am a first time homeschool mom. We started in June for year round school, so this is the first curriculum we've ever used. I must say that it has been an easy transistion for us, it's not as hard as I thought it would be. Of course once in a while I have a stubborn child, but I was prepared for that. I think that the layout of the book is great, Sharon really made it easy to custom fit the curriculum to our family. That is one of the things that attracted me to her book in the first place- she gives step by step info on what to do while leaving it open ended enough to change as needed. I use it for a 1st graded and 3rd grader. I think the best resource you can get to go with Sharon's curriculum is this forum- particularly Kris, Sharon and Dana (when she finishes moving), they have been great! It seems one of them has an answer for everything!I think PPrimers can be tailored to fit just about any family who want s to have fun while learning!
Good luck,
Anita
