My daughter would have had a hard doing the Anne study even at the 7th grade level. I'm not sure if she would have really gotten enough out of it to be worth doing it that early. Yes, you can switch the poetry. You can change almost any of it to fit what you need. I didn't buy the book that was written by Caldron Creek to go along with it because I could find the poetry from other books in the library.

Trisms was boring for my daughter because you have to fill out the same paper over and over for which explorer, scientist or whatever else you are researching. I thought it was great because the things that they were looking for could always be found easily. Some of the questions really make them think. example: how would the world be different now if penicillin hadn't been invented. or write about other achievements that this person did that wasn't as recognized as the one that he is famous for.

I'm going to look into the videos that you mentioned.
