I had read that the Anne of GG study was going out of print so I snapped it up at God's World Book Club's summer clearance sale! It looks like it will be a fun and informative study! Do we really have to study all of that poetry using the Anne's Anthology book ... or ... could be study other poetry? I have the Poetry for Young Children books and was thinking of introducing easier poetry using this series and just skipping over that part in the Anne study. I understand that we then wouldn't be studying the poetry that Anne was reading, but I'll be doing this study with a 5th grader which is below level anyway (I think the Anne of GG study is for 7-12 graders??).

I'm not sure if my kids will like Trisms either - I'll have to wait until they are older (of course) to see if it suits them, but I like the way that it is research-based and I may use the one-year study just so that they learn how to do the research they will need to do in high school and college (if they choose that route!).

I just watched Dinah Zike's video for The Big Book of Projects and WOW! I now have some more great ideas for our lapbooks! I highly recommend buying these videos even if you have the books. It really brings the projects in the books to life! I purchased my books and videos from www.rocksolidinc.com b/c they included free paper with the order of each book.
