Liann,

Each six week unit is self sufficient and I can't think of a reason why you couldn't swap around the units. You would want to keep it pretty much within the same semester just because the second semester does include some activities that build upon what you've already learned, but the first three units could easily be swapped around I think without it messing anything up. The math and language each build within the unit, but I don't see that it would bother anything to swap the units.

I try to include lots of outdoor activities whenever possible since kids enjoy the outdoors so much, but it does make it hard sometimes for you folks up north. I know Dana in Ohio ran into that with their nature studies taking place when they had snow on the ground.

Bible is included in Volume 2, but I didn't list it in the scope and sequence for some reason, I don't remember now why unless I just forgot. There is one Bible lesson each week in each volume. And the penmanship lessons are all Bible verses as well and could also be used as memory verses.

Happy Homeschooling!
Sharon
