It will be interesting to see how our ADHD kids deal with PP. We are using Vol. 2. Are all of you starting with Vol. 1? My kiddos love inventions so we are starting there. I don't know much about Aspbergers (sp?) or Autism, but I have heard ladies on the vegsource/special needs board mention it. What are the signs or symptoms? My son does seem to think he is the only person in the world at times, but he is not always like this. I guess he can just be selfish at times. He is a whole lot of fun to be with - he just takes a lot of patience on my part. Sometimes I think that is why God gave him to me - so I could learn patience!!!

I have two other boys at home and two step-daughters who are grown. We even have a 3 year old grandson. My 14 1/2 year old son is going into high school in the Fall and he is not homeschooled. We are a blended family and his mom will not let us homeschool him. It is not worth losing custody over it and then he would be in regular school anyway, so it would not help. He is doing great. He is a good kid. My other son is 9 1/2 and is the one who loves to invent things. Both of the younger boys are homeschooled and will be in "3rd and 4th grade" in the Fall. My middle son is a quiet child, unless he is telling you about his inventions!! LOL!! We started hsing our boys mid-way through their kindg and 1st grade years. They did not learn anything in school that year due to too many distractions in their classrooms. We basically had to start over in mid-March once they were home. We have been playing "catch-up" since then and are not quite on "grade level" - whatever that is!!! They are doing great and have made tremendous improvements. We just really struggle this year with my youngest who has the energy of 10 boys!! I really am jealous since I have chronic fatigue! LOL!! If I could just find some way to bottle his extra energy we could be millionares!! He is a great kid. He just learns differently. He can't understand that yet, but hopefully I will find some way to explain it to him. I think the Fiengold diet is a geat concept, but it looks too hard to maintain. Tonight I made homemade soup with chicken and veggies in it and I couldn't add bullion cubes because of the MSG. It tasted very bland. I have to be able to get him to eat because he has growth hormone delay. He is being monitored by a endocronologist from Children's Hospital. He has grown a lot this year. Today I asked my chiropractor if he knew about the Fiengold diet. He did not. His suggestion was to take my son off all sugars and not to feed him 3 hours prior to bed time. He gets waayyy too hungry to let him go that long without eating. He had blood sugar problems when he was younger and we think he may be hypoglycemic. Removing the sugars would probably be a good idea. I think I do need to keep a food and activity diary. I am taking him to the peditrician next week. I am soooo confused right now. There are too many things that might work. Please pray for me that God would show me what I need to do for my son. Thanks for your support. Thank you Sharon for starting this board. It has already been a huge blessing to me. And don't worry guys if your stories are long. They are a blessing and encouragement to all of us.

Blessings, Liann
