The Chinese girl recalls Joseph’s insulting remark back at the waterfalls, “All Chinese are cowards, that’s why their skin is yellow!” She pound on the tree trunk with her clenched fist, discharging her rage. She takes a moment staring at her fist; she thought it’d turn into a bloody mess, to her surprise, it didn’t. Only the barks red pattern was engraved. Perhaps they didn’t need her as a fighter in the first place. There will be stronger combatants coming up. And they'll boot me out sooner or later. She scornfully thinks to herself, her throat suddenly turned parched. That voice even informed that both, Grante and Adraine, would be big help. What is she to everyone? A puny runt! “I don’t think I’m needed. Dismiss me anytime.” She rasped huskily, her mouth still longed for a drink of water.
