Then whistles. His companion, a wolf, comes to his side, looking up in attention.

"You. Stay here and guard Lily. No matter what, don't let her leave."

Silently, he signaled to the she-dog in their own language, Don't hurt her. Lie down and keep her as warm as you can.

"And Lily, if you try anything she'll bite," he warned, pretty sure she couldn't hear.

He got up, dissapearing from view for roughly two minutes, before coming back with some sticks. He reached into his pocket, pulling out wet tinder, and cursing again.

"Great. Just great."

He was tire, drained from running around, and using his magic so often. He was saving what he had for a dire emergency, and wasn't sure whether he could use it to make a fire or not.

Snapping a twig of a tree he sat down, on the oppisite side of the pile from Lily and the vixen, beginning to shread the stick. On a second thought, he moved over, putting her halfway in his lap, his furry friend curled 'round the other part. He might not be as warm as femme, but he was better then ground.
