i stared long and hard
into those crystals of his
laid upon the white canvas
framed by hints of gold
they withheld their mystery
and told me no future
they say stones have an affinity
with their owners
i dont know what to make out
of their desire
i shall seek
no longer
the truths of the stone
but rather learn to
accept their glow
