Subject: Steve Vai and Joe Satriani

What do you guys theink of these 2 guitarists? Do you think that they deserve 0 or don't - all the attention that they get? I think they're pretty good but somewhat overrated; as though they are eating up some of the credit that should reach other guitarists. Also, it's like I can no longer even buy Guitar magazines anymore, because they almost always deify rather bland and uncreative, pioneering guitarists. The last time I saw Shawn, for instance, was years ago. It's quite annoying.I know that these mags may figure that they have to feature more mainstream artists to stay afloat, but they won't be floating on my money.
