It's not about "dissing a character because he's white". I'm not a racist. I'm just hoping to see more Asian male characters as romantic lead in American film. Why can it be that "the character just happens to be Asian American", not white? Look around and see how many American movies with Asian male as romantic lead that you can find? It's much much easier to find Asian male as gangster or martial artist.

I can agree that "The story is not about race." but the image has a very powerful effect on human mind. There have been too many Miss Saigons, Madame Butterflies for too long.
