I have a '99 Accord EX with 64,000 miles on it. Lately, I've been having trouble with the transmission lock-out locking-up when I try to shift it out of Park. The button on the side of the shift handle won't depress. If I pump the brakes and listen carefully, I can hear a click in the handle and then the button will depress and I can shift the transmission. It seems to be worse on cooler days and if the car's been sitting for a few hours. Seems to disappear if the car is warmed up. I've not experienced any other problems with the transmission. The fluid level is fine.

Any thoughts on what could be going on? If so, is it something that Honda covers under their warranty? I have their extended version.

The other problem is the gas pedal--I think... When I get in it first thing in the morning, the pedal feels stuck. If it stomp on it once or twice, it's loosens up, but still feels "sticky" and jerky. Not being mechanically-minded, I'm not sure if I should be greasing the pedal where it connects to the spring above the floorboard/behind the dash, or if it could be a problem with the spring/cable assembly above the manifold. Any suggestions on that also?
