In response to your second question, try greasing the throttle cable where it attaches to the throttle body under the hood. In most cases the cable is covered by a rubber boot (at the end) and usually slides through. If dirt builds up, it will feel like the gas pedal is sticking. I think this is the most common sticking point and seems to be a very common problem with Hondas. It may take a bit of work to get everything working smoothly.
