I'm back to square one. Today it gave me grief again. The same rough idling, lack of power, knock on acceleration (I had to go on gear 3 at 60Km/h to avoid the knocking. It also seems to suck gas like a drain. It is definitely something during warm-up regime, because in the afternoon (about 4 degrees C outside temperature) it calmed down and ran nicely (maybe a bit of power missing from there, but no sputtering neither knocking, nor rough idle) after about 10 min from start; in the morning it was cold, I drove to work for about 25min and it stayed rough. I got a manual, I read, and I have a few ideas, so I will probably disappear for a while, but I'll let you know the end of the story (I hope there will be an end). Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
By the way, one of the plugged vacuum ports was for the A/C idle speed boost, so since my A/C was gone when I bought the car, some mechanic must have disconnected the vacuum circuit. The other one is still under investigation.
