Sorry to hear that, Denise.

Sure sounds like the cooling fan to me. I know you said it was running in a previous post, but are you sure it was the cooling fan running and not the AC condenser fan?

The cooling fan is on the passenger side, and the condenser fan is on the drivers side.

Just to be sure, when you're idling and it starts to overheat, check to see if the cooling fan is running.

It would seem likely, that if the cooling fan failed to operate, this might have been the original problem that caused your hose to rupture. As pressure built up, a weak spot in the hose could have ruptured before the radiator cap vented to relieve pressure.

Maybe Glen has some other thoughts...
