i think u should go to the school or schools your child would be going to and the specific classroom and spend as much time as u can, an hour or the whole day and observe and picture your child in that setting. if they wont let u i would be very concerned. also do a bit of research on your school system look up articles in the newspapers archives. u will find positives and negatives. u need 2 b informed 2 make this kind of grave decision. do u have a support group in your area 4 homeschoolers, they may b able 2 shed some light . and your neighbors who have kids in that school system although i would b leery of their opinions. hope that helps a little. my oldest went through the whole process of public school and it was really a nightmare. but ive heard not 4 everyone. good luck let us know what u find out. connie
