Forget it. This wasn't about the war. It wasn't about Iraq. It wasn't about soldiers or any of that. It was about how we so easily do whatever the gov asks, even if it costs us our children's well-being--I gave more than one example. I could give a dozen more, none of them war/Iraq related. You are so focused on that one thing, you can't even step back and see the big picture, the real underlying problem.

I didn't mention a draft, because this isn't about the draft. Believe it or not, my range of concerns and interestes extends beyond the draft. It also extends beyond the war.

And you are making an awful lot of judgements here that you know absolutely nothing about. I deliberately left the details vague, because this wasn't about the war! It's not even about my nephews. It's about people who will do anything the gov asks of them, even at the expense of their children!

But to satisfy your pharasiacal judgement, he's always been a very good boy, keeping good company, never doing drugs or alcohol. He did NOT choose to go back the second time. He was told he would not have to go back, but as usual, they lied to him and he was forced back a second time. He saw atrocities in his second tour that he cannot deal with.

It seems that giving judgement comes a little too easily here. First, you say my nephew chose bad friends and is an acloholic. Then you say I lied about the gov. Put your money where your mouth is: Show me where I lied.
