We are a 'pacified' people. As long as we can go to Saturday night movies, and eat hot dogs, and hear a president who uses the word "God" now and then, as long as we can send our children off to a so called 'good' public school, as long as we can sign our kids up for free breakfast and lunch at school, and as long as being patriotic simply means voting every four years... well, that's good enough for us. Heaven help us if the core of the church is asked to look beyond the 10 oclock news. Too many members of the church actually believe that crap about separation of church and state, and too many members believe that rights come from the government. They are so busy being thankful for the rights our government gives us, that they don't bother to protect the rights God gave us.
