Since you like billboards, here is one for you:

Is it stretching a rubberband when wondering immigration today can be matched to early moments in this country. What merit is there in saying, "we were here first.?"

That poor rubberband never had a chance. I won't count the ways the analogy fails. It should be fairly obvious. As far as the "merit" part of the question, you might direct your question to these guys:
