Well men, tonights the night. I nervous yet confident. I'll have the show taped so you can hear when we get together. Also, I just got off the phone with a woman who has been in the radio biz. I met her last year from a mutual acquaintence. She has experience producing her own show. She is very interested in the format and has noticed in her other work, a marketing group of men 35-55, that many are not taping into. We meet Aug. 19th, so she can hear the show and help brainstorm with me to bring the show to Milwaukee as a regular program. We have several options one being paying for the show ourselves, based on clients we bring in for advertising spots, so we get paid as well OR the station gives us the time slot, sells the airtime themselves and get paid....and we get nothing...but the opportunity. We will consider both options as a stepping stone. IF the show does well, then we can change our strategy and with the help of advertisements/clients we pay for three hour slots and the rest we use to pay ourselves. She's the expert so I'll go along with her. We can get prepared and then as soon as the Divorce is final, BAM we can be on the air.
Hey, I can also use the show to advertise for Inner Compass Cards!! Hoody hoo!

Guys, the program was a success! The sound engineer was impressed, the rest of the staff at the station thought it was awesome. A woman called in, pulling off the highway to get to a payphone, to call in and tell us it was about time such a program exists. Afterwards, another woman called in asking if the show was going to be re-aired.
We only took on three callers, I was VERY surprised how quickly the hour went. The calls and our dialogue went very well. It sounded as if three men sat by a campfire and just talked. It was groovy, baby.

I have the show recorded on cassette and will transfer to CD sometime this month. I informed the AccessHour coordinator that if there is ever a cancellation, to call me and I'd drive up and do the show again.
As I stated before, I meet with a radio producer in three weeks to discuss format, presentation/proposal of show, and short term vs long term initiatives to get accepted by station.

Congrats! I'm glad it went well. I look forward to hearing the recording.
Take care, buddy.
