Hmmmmmmm.....got out my ancient, very heavy, too large dictionary and looked up "worth" to try and get a handle on what I mean, too.

Here's the first definition: The quality that renders a thing useful or desirable; value or excellence of any kind.

Next: The exchangeable or market value of anything.

Then: The quality or combination of qualities that makes one deserving of esteem.

Wealth.

Then it goes on to define it as: The amount of something that can be had for a specific sum: three cents; worth of candy -

Deserving of: to be worth something.

Whew! Boy, did I open a can of fresh worms for myself. After pondering for awhile, I have a better idea of my question.

For me, life can sometimes be quite hard to semi-slumber through. Fortunately, I think, my heart beats without my constant attention, I breathe without having to prod the lungs, I can walk and talk, perform tasks, etc. BUT, there are large periods of time when it's a damn good thing I have to thoughtfully effort my way along because I'm not much interested one way or the other. I can remember using my mind quite frequently in a purposeful and directed way, but that happens seldom anymore. I can't think of too many things I want to see or do - no goals. When I was young, that wasn't true, of course, but it is true now.

In other words, life is SUFFERING. DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. REALLY? The WORTH
