*she leads Heaven into the barn and crossties him. he stands patiently to be tacked up and mounted. "Mom, can we take him cross-country today, please?" she begs. Saddle pauses a moment and thinks. "Are you sure your ready for cross country? you've only been riding him for a few weeks" she finally says. "I'm sure i'm ready!" Hannah says excited. "Alright, just let me tack up Fantasy, she can have her workout while you jump" Mikki can take Silver and Michelle can ride one of her ponies. Hannah starts to warm Heaven up in the ring, walking, trotting and cantering around, making circles, figure 8's and serpintines. Heaven is responsive, light and on the bit. finally. Saddle comes out of the barn, leading a prancing, excited thoroughbred filly, Michelle and Bailey and Mikki riding Silver. they all headed out to the course and Mikki gave Michelle a mini-lesson while Hannah popped over some low jumps and Saddle took Fantasy to canter up some hills to condition her heart and lungs for racing so she would be in top condition. soon they all headed back, Hannah bubbling with happyness at Heaven's performance, he wasn't scared of water like Dun was and was a more scopey and willing jumper. at the barn she hosed Heaven off and got Dun to school him over some fences. he hopped over the 2'6 course like the fences weren't even there, light and responsive and obvoiusly having a great time*
