Jon sat to Pride's smooth gait, feeling extrememly awkward. They were riding in a clearing next to the trail right now. Pride was prancing around, flinging his head in the air. Cassidy giggled watching Jon ride the big stallion so nervously. She stopped mid giggle though, because Montana suddenly decided now was a good time to gallop. Jon hollered out directions, while urging Pride on. "Sit down and give him rein." Jon called. "What?!!" Cassidy yelled back, trying to rein in the QH colt. "Give him rein." Cassidy followed Jon's instructions and Montana slowed to a jog. The western rider in Jon started to coach Cassidy on riding this new style. "Sit deep and relax. She found that when she did what he was saying, Montana's jog didn't seem so bouncy and riding western became almost enjoyable. Then she looked at Jon, who was sitting like a sack of potatoes. He was practically the worst saddleseat rider he had ever seen.
