I have a gay friend who goes to watch strippers with her friends. I find it kind of strange, since it seems so anti-feminist.

I don't think they care, frankly.

Also, how do you distinguish between the "bad decision makers" and the women who make major bucks from their bodies -- the women who pose for Playboy, Vegas showgirls and the like? I saw an interview recently with a woman who is going to be in Playboy as one of the "women of Enron." She thinks that she is doing what she needs to do to take care of herself -- she wouldn't say how much she is being paid, but the guess was around $100k. Who wouldn't be tempted by that?

I think all women suffer more from the extremly unrealistic ideal pushed by the fashion mags -- size 0, 16 year old models enhanced by airbrushing and photoshop -- than strippers and prostitutes. And while our society is overly sexualized, the flip side of this is that we are also overly prudish and hung up about it.
