Tempted to pose nude in a magazine viewed by millions for $100k? No, that wouldn't tempt me. Maybe several million would be tempting--something that would set me up for life. Even that I doubt I could go for, given I'd be humiliating my family.

OTOH, the fashion mags reflect what we want. Women control styles to large extent. There was a time recently when flat chests were in (20s). When large chests and ample fat stores were in (50s). When healthy bodies were in (80s). When anorexia was in (70s and 90s).

Women have a say in all of this, though. For one thing, we don't need to buy the magazines. I don't buy them anymore. The consumer has a lot of power in this area...
