Yes, Scipio, that is exactly what I was trying to get across! Sure, motherhood is a drag on occasion, and it is DEFINITELY okay to be a little selfish sometimes (as I often say, it's not a martyr contest), but common sense should tell moms to expect that there will be "days like this."

You're right--the article had the sense of a petulant little girl about it, and there was an undertone of blaming children and society as a whole for some great deception ("this was supposed to be total bliss 24/7 and it isn't") that IMO doesn't exist unless a person has NO clue about what taking care of a child entails.
