Anne, I agree with you to a degree. But, the problem I see is what the schools are going to do with this. What are they going to do when they find a football player who, it's discovered, is smoking pot. They'll do the obvious and kick him off the football team. But, are they going to go further than that? I see this as just a bandaid on a gaping wound. If they are going to utilize the random drug testing, they had better have some plans in place to deal with it. Kicking the kid off the football team is not a good solution (However, I will agree it is a good start). And unfortunately, especially with the schools around here, I'm afrad that's all they'll do.
