Yes, I understand that feeling, but I just don't think it's realistic -- who is going to take space on the 98th floor? What employees with any choice will work there? Either a rebuilt WTC will be a target or people will think so, and you'd end up with ghost buildings. I certainly agree that the change in the skyline is a gaping hole that reminds one every day of what happened (the other day I was downtown and came out of the subway and stopped dead -- I could see a part of the World Financial Center I'd never seen there before, because it used to be blocked by the Towers); that's why I'd like to see the Towers of Light project go on.
