Rev. Joe, my comments come after yours . . .

People think that environmentalists are insane, but I think that they are right about a lot of things. We DO need to practice good stewardship. If you read: 'What Would Jesus Eat?' You will find that the way they slaughter meat in slaughterhouses nowadays, is completely different from the more humane way that the Jews used to do it long ago. Now they sometimes accidently don't kill the animal right away. The animal will slowly bleed to death and go into shock and all of that, then be (basically) skinned alive and die piece by piece. It's disgusting!!!! The Jews would make sure they had killed it quickly & humanely. If they didn't, they were in trouble. When the animal is traumatized, blood is pumped into the meat, and the Jews are not supposed to eat the blood of animals. So, doing this ritual properly was very important, and not very often done unless it was for a special occasion. This is so different from our mass-hamburger marketing society. It's enough to make one sick!

Really? That's fascinating! No wonder bread was so important in Biblical times. You know: 'Give us this day our daily bread.' It must have been much more nutricious back then.

Gee. I wonder why we need fertilizer . . . Could it be because we don't take care of our crops the way we should?!?!? (Just like what you wrote in the statement below . . .)

That is just like with antibiotics. Viruses & bacteria - after a while of being exposed - tend to build up a resistance against it. Then, we have to make stronger and stronger antibiotics in order to combat the stronger & stronger bacteria. Then, our normal immune systems get weaker & weaker against these stronger growing viruses & bacteria. It's like the antibiotics are doing all the work for our bodies, our immunity gets weak & lazy, and the viruses get angry and fight back. (Though this analogy could be wrong.)

I wonder if antibiotics are the cause of some of these weird new viruses . . . Probably. They even use them A LOT in farm animals, even when the animals aren't even sick!!! They think it makes the meat 'safer' to eat!!!! How stupid is that? Safer? I don't think so! They're breeding killer viruses!

I hate to talk about TV, but on 'Daria' there's a made-up TV program that they watch called: 'Sick, Sad world'! To sum it up . . . (basically) . . . Yes. It is. It can be, anyway.
