That's what worked for me, Bob. What will help now is to NOT identify yourself as someone who's trying not to watch TV, but rather as someone who DOESN'T watch TV. It really is liberating, and it will become easier as you become involved in life, instead of watching it from the sidelines. I know for myself, whenever I feel bored and start thinking about some good ol' mindless entertainment, I have plenty of things around the house to occupy my time: chores, gardening, reading, taking a walk and meeting some of my neighbors. Become your own drama, talk show, or situation comedy - you'll soon find that you like it better (like preferring the taste of real fruit as opposed to Starburst candy)
