Bob, I am so happy to find this site and your message in particular. I've been looking for an anti-tv message board for a while. Please let me know if you are able to do it cold turkey. I am in the same exact predicament as you and it's driving me nuts. I've been trying for a few months to cut down but I can't. It lasts about 2 days, then I'm back to my same bad habits. It's so frustrating. TV addiction is a real thing and it's pretty sad. Please write back in a few days and let us know how it's going. I'm going to follow your lead and totally unplug my tv's and vcr and put them in a closet. It's the only way. Rev. Joe's comment was interesting regarding not calling yourself someone who's trying to not watch tv but instead someone who doesn't watch tv. I've been wanting to meet somebody I can do this with. I feel alone doing it myself because everybody in my life watches a lot of TV and wouldn't stop with me. I feel like a need somebody to do this with. Write back and let us know how it's going.
