Hi Mike, thanks for the encouraging words. I needed that. What you said about watching only a little TV is true. It doesn't work out. My plan with just watching Conan O'Brien didn't work out. It sucks you in, like you said. My new plan is to totally quit when TV Turnoff week comes around in April. I don't know why I'm waiting that long. I think I'm afraid of failure. I'm just afraid I'm not going to be able to do it, and that scares me. I feel totally addicted. Your message helps, though. I think once I really do it, I'll realize it's not that bad. There are so many things I could be doing, that would make me happy, instead of watching TV.
I'm not going to get rid of my TV, but I'm going to put it in a closet so that it's such a pain in the neck to hook it up, I won't watch. I should get rid of it. I'm scared to get rid of it, I think. It's a comfort thing, I guess. I'll feel better somehow knowing it's still in the house! Sad, huh?
