I just wanted to tell everyone that quitting TV can be done, I stopped June 2002 and haven't watched since. I thought it was impossible also but here I am and its no problem now and I honestly have really no interest in it. One reason I quit was because most of the shows they had on TV weren't about subjects I'm interested in like music and science. I listen to alot of books on tape, read more and listen to more music. I do think its hard to quit if you watch only a little or limit the quantity per day because it will suck you in for more and more time. So cold turkey was the best for me, also I put a sign on my Tv the reasons I wanted to quit and I taped it over the picture screen, maybe that would help. good luck
