I thought about going to see this last weekend, but I wasn't really in the mood for it. My friend asked me what I wanted to see. My reply: "An end-of-th-world movie." Seriously. I was in the mood for whole overdone archatypes. The down and out scientist that no one respects and sees the signs and gives a warning no one believes, the family being split apart emotionally only to be brought back together, the dog that survives, the global panic, the newsroom scenes, etc. etc. It's great! I'd love to see it and hope it's doing well. I'm familiar with the story and honestly am not sure I'd be able to watch. I think I will have to rent the tape so I can fast forward thru the violent part. But oh what a story!
