I don't even remember the last time I was here...

Hello everyone! Here's a rundown of the last year of my life:

-Year two of grad school at Oakland University; still working on my Master's in Linguistics... only 3 weeks left of class!!

-Graduate assistant for 2005-2006 schoolyear, which paid my tuition

-Taught ESL to native speakers of Spanish; and now I have my Teaching ESL Certificate

-Two roommates (who were like a brother and sister to me) both moved out at the end of March :*( They're now in California and Arizona.

-Currently teaching ESL (conversation and slang) at Oakland to our new Saudi Arabian students

-Will write my thesis this summer (though I still haven't decided on a topic...)

-Started learning American Sign Language again, partly thanks to watching Sue Thomas, F.B.Eye and rediscovering how fascinated I am by it

-Possible roadtrip to D.C., Norfolk and Myrtle Beach this summer (and also Montreal, if I can afford it)

-Moving to France in September to teach ESL, probably near Nice (teaching contract is October 1 - March 31)

-Most likely moving to Perth, Australia, to start my PhD in Linguistics at Western Australia in May or June 2007

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and let everyone know I'm still around!
