Subject: How crazy would I be....

if I decided to try writing my first fanfiction and it was a cross-over? I'm really into Pride and Prejudice fanfiction that includes Colonel Fitzwilliam - which of course makes me think of an alternate universe fic in which Colonel Fitzwilliam ends up at JAG... not a time travel one, but rather not regency period (which is crazy in itself for me, because I don't read P&P fanfiction thats out of period!) - maybe I'd be better off taking my favorite JAG characters back to Regency England instead?

[> I happen to adore Austen's works myself, and I tell ya, any classic literature that inspires people a coupla centuries later to write their own fiction is just plain great lit in my book. By the way, did you ever see the Pride and Pred. miniseries that aired on A@E a few years ago? This was the one with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle in it. It was six vhs tapes long, and I watched the whole darned thing in two nites, I loved it!! You should rent it if you like that book. -- MariMata, actress Ehle was also in a later movie called Possession with Gwynth Paltrow, it had a bit of the regency romance about it, also very good., 01:57:04 02/27/05 Sun [1]

[> [> yep - well except that all three are a bit too vulgar for me personally - which is why I don't own the first Bridget Jones (Love Actually I just fast forward through the bad parts) and I am going to have to buy the second Bridget Jones just for the bonus scene of Bridget interviewing Colin Firth =) -- Aria, 10:17:39 03/01/05 Tue [1]

[> I heard of that movie, but I also heard that the actor who plays its version of Darcy is as dull as a, well, sock. Have'nt seen it, so I don't know. It's supposed to be a musical, too. -- MariMata, 23:16:04 03/06/05 Sun [1]
