Subject: (She was honest for once, nodding a little.) I have to admit that I am not used to this kind of environment.. or these people.. (She was looking at him when she said it, and then she looked down and smiled to herself before returning her gaze to him.) It's strange for me to find something so unlike me so much fun. (She said quietly, as a couple of people walked into the party past them.) I am used to loud music and louder people.. not this soft of thing.. with finger foods, and expensive water.. and cutthroat women. (She laughed a little.) I think that girl was a little pissed that I was standing with you.

  • He shrugged a little, his eyes dropping over her for a second. "Your doing great." His words were honest that time, she really was doing a good job of mingling in. At her last comment, he laughed, shrugging his shoulders lightly. "She'll get over it, I don't even remember her name so she couldn't have been that important." He had a bad habit of that, his eyes moving over her. "Don't take after my example on that. If you want to work with these people you have to know who wants who and who's dating who that way you don't flirt with the wrong person and lose a deal or a contract because of it."
