 How come, fifty years ago, women didn't need to be cut this same slack? Because back then the pregnancy wasn't already lived out for the women through self-help bullshit and a media that thrives on manipulation. From Mrs. Dalloway to Juno women are provided with strawcunts that enable them to shirk their natural duties.

Any thoughts of her being able to use the pregnancy as a subterfuge to gain power in this relationship are continuously quelled. Just because she knows I was raised right and we'll now stay with her til the end doesn't mean she is going to mistake my morality for weakness.
